I apologize for not being online as much over the last week! I had a few things come up.. all of them good for a change. :)

My partner found employment and was asked to start much earlier than we expected (next week!), so we spent the last four or five days scrambling to finish things up: some necessary tasks, like getting finances in order, but also some fun day trips, such as visiting Multnomah Falls.

And we managed to acquire a new family member:

BabyBenny by MoonsongWolf

Benedict ("Benny") Montgomery, a baby Patagonian cavy! The timing is almost perfect, as I will have days free to spend hand-feeding and bonding with him. I'm excited to work with him, but also a bit nervous, of course. He's young, and young animals can be very fragile. I feel confident that I have great advice from the breeder, though, as well as a highly recommended veterinarian in my area who is familiar with these guys. And I have been researching my rear end off for the last month, so I think I'm about as prepared as any new pet owner can be. Fingers crossed! I'll still feel much better when he's completely weaned (he can eat solids, but he'll still be on supplemental bottle for a while).

Since I'm going to be relegated to the house, caring for this silly bastard for a while, expect more artwork very soon! I should even have a new Pull Down Heaven page up in the next week, as soon as I have a few more commissions finished up. I'm really looking forward to working on it again. :D

Thanks for bearing with my random schedule and disappearances, guys! I should be caught up on notes and messages by Monday, so please feel free to give me another poke if I've somehow managed to miss your communique!

Take care and thanks for reading.

Multnomah Falls is BEAUTIFUL!  it's also good you visited now as apparently in the summer parking can be impossible!

I hope you settled well!  Oregon has been SO WARM and sunny lately!
