And in this case, if you're gonna be a cowgirl, you might as well start with herding kangaroo rats. Or maybe not... these two little guys seem like they're more interested in seeing what this crazy fox is doing than in being herded. :)

This is just a fun idea that I cooked up for the ~Oha-fc contest. The criteria was to draw =Oha's fox character in some sort of new clothing. I thought about doing some winter clothes, but then decided to go with something more like dress up. I started thinking about all of the silly pretend games that children play, and for some reason "cowboys and injuns" came to mind. Although we never really played that when I was a kid... we played Nazis and paladins. Seriously. We were weird. :P

Anyway, I love this character, particularly since she is partially based on one of my all-time favorite books: Foxes of Firstdark (or Hunter's Moon, if you're in Europe) by Gary Kilworth. If you have not read it, DO IT NOW!

Now, that's pretty cute. Those two kangaroo rats certainly look curious. I'm surprised she hasn't tried to munch them already. :XD: Nice work on the background, the anatomy and the positioning. I also like the expression. Very good. :D

That little kangaroo rat with its back turned is adorable!
On a random note, the way you drew the eye and muzzle reminds me of ~SamSpender's art.. it's probably the eyelashes XD
