I spend A LOT of time painting over my photos so that they look more like paintings! It's a ton of extra work, but absolutely worth it. Plus, my skill level isn't high enough with the medium to make it look like an actual photo (instead of, you know, a bunch of random photos stitched together), so this is the next best thing.

YES, it really, REALLY annoys me. Alberta is beautiful, but I could NEVER live there, just for that reason. I mean, damn, I understand that they don't want wild Norway rats invading the province, but... banning pet rats is like banning dogs because you don't want wolves in your area. It makes me want to trap a pile of Toronto sewer rats, truck them out to Alberta, and release them over the border.

(Plus, Alberta is home to Stevie Harper and Jason Kenney, two of the biggest douchebags around... so, yeah, that's three strikes against them)
