Some gift art for *AikDingo.

Normally I'm not a big fan of "shipping" original characters with characters from an established series, but for some reason I've always enjoyed her drawings of wolf Link and Aik. So here they are; Aik is blissfully resting, Link is awake and contemplating an uncertain future.

This was sketched out while listening to the song "Leave out all the rest" by Linkin Park. I found it a fitting song for this scene, and thus the title is a line from the lyrics.

Please no critique on the accuracy of Link's markings or design. I've never played the game, so I based his design off of images found online. Also, I spent a (ridiculous) amount of time on this, so it's not like I'm going to change anything.

The detail on this is just breathtaking! Is the medium paint or some kind of pencil? I'm not very art-smart when it comes to mediums ^^;

It's paint! Basically, it's a watercolour paint that uses white paint as an agent instead of water. It's similar to acrylic, only it's still water-soluble when dry, so you can go back and blend in areas later. It's really a fun medium to work with and much easier to use than either regular watercolour or acrylic. :)
