Trade with ~Lieutenant-Pickles. A grey wolf with golden eyes watches over a derelict sector of a great, industrialized city.

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. My digital work is a long way from perfect, but I think I'm progressing.

Also, this tutorial was instrumental in making the buildings... although I made my own brushes and left the "framework" unfinished (because I personally think it looks more badass that way): [link]

Thanks! It was sketched in pencil and then coloured digitally with Adobe Photoshop CS4. :)

I always find it fascinating to see nature take hold over what was once the sole domain of humans. Like Pripyat (the city evacuated after the Chernobyl incident)... granted, it was a tragedy, but the photos of the derelict and abandoned city are quite beautiful.

Yes. The genetic mutations - not so pretty, but the nature devouring the old city - stunning. It reminds me of the final CG in FFVII.

That scene from FFVII is absolutely beautiful. I was so thrilled that they re-CGed it for the intro to Advent Children... it's almost better than the rest of the movie put together. It's a shame that Nanaki had such a tiny part in it and only one spoken line.

Oh yeah. That bugged me too. I wanted to see much more of Nanaki - not that damn cat...yuck!

Oh, I HATED that cat, both in the game and in the movie (which was a shame, because I liked the character design). I bought a Nanaki action figure several months ago which came with that cat as an accessory. I threw the cat away and just kept Nanaki.

your welcome! i cant wait to see them. im just waiting for the day that i could actually stop and do something like this, or at least practicing. but it will take a while for me to get this good. but first i have to get photoshop. im still working with paint. lol

If you want to get in some practice before you manage to get a copy of the program, I think that good practice for doing semi-realistic work in photoshop is using traditional media instead of programs like MSPaint. I used paints and coloured pencils for years (and years) before I picked up photoshop and, honestly, it helped me out a lot, both in technique and colour theory. MSPaint sucks. Photoshop is easier to use and looks a hundred times better for the same amount of effort.
