Artist's Comments

An art trade with *IridescentSpiritwolf of her pheasant-wolf character Alaron.

This was an experiment in absolute frustration bordering on artistic rage. I tried out a new granulated medium for my watercolours. The bottle happily states that it will give a mottled effect (I assumed similar to using clear alcohol). Apparently "mottled" is synonymous with "streaky pile of fail."

So, after BORKING the watercolour portion, I went back over it with coloured pencils and white acrylic, which saved most of it... except that right back leg. I swear it looked decent in the sketch; I have no clue WTF happened there.

Also... burn in hell, scanner. Burn in hell.

End rant.

I guess I can't rage too much. At least it was salvaged! You should have seen those watercolours. :fear: I'm pleased that I managed to make it look decent considering what it looked like before (next time, I'll have to do "before" and "after" scans).

Oh, man, it actually looks a lot better now than it did! :lol: You should have seen the watercolour portion. It was terrible! I'm just happy that I salvaged most of it. And I'm glad that you liked it!

Aw, thanks! It wound up being quite a challenge to fix my original mistakes. I'm never using that granulated medium again, I swear. :lol:
