There are many ways, I think, to interpret this. What you feel it represents is, ultimately, more important and more personal to you than what I intended.
Medium: Pencil, red wine, watercolour, and a pink crystal for the knife pommel
Ha ha, thanks! I always like finding new songs that it "synchs" up with well. So far, though, my favourite has been Evacuate the Dance Floor by Cascada. It's just a funny fit!
Well, what I notice is that the mouse on the left has a look on its face like relief, rest, calmness, and in a way, it says, "Thank you". The mouse on the right looks like it was hesitant to stab the mouse on the left, but it did it because I think the left mouse asked it to. The knife is probably being pulled out at that moment (because of the paw position and the blood further up on the knife) but the mouse on the right still probably was the one who stabbed the left mouse. The paws on each other also (to me) show reassurance, that a true friend is there when you need them, and that they're always there to catch you when you fall, and would do something for the better, as it appears the left mouse's intention was to be stabbed.
The way I see it, the dagger is being removed. Friends can help us get through a lot, and although the healing of past experiences will hurt at first (as the wound will bleed when the dagger is removed), it is necessary for healing. Friends can help us resolve things that we sometimes don't even realize are a problem.
I'm not sure that there are universal constants to friendship. It's sort of like... weather, I guess. It changes over time, mutates into other things, and feels different to different people.
This has wonderful imagery though.
