Pencil trade with :iconffredxiii: of his lion character Makovu.

Sorry that it's just a head shot, but I hope that the detail will make up for it. :) I just really wanted to do a portrait. I'm also quite proud of the fact that I did this one with no references. I'm typically not ballsy enough to do this close of a shot with nothing at all to work from. :lol:

I will probably scrap this eventually, because for some reason I don't like pencil work in my main gallery, but... for now I am happy enough with this one to put it in with the other deviations!

Anyway, I hope that you like this one, buddy! :D

I quite like this one! You did a very good job on the mane espcially, it has a lot of depth and texture without looking too stringy. Cute expression too :)
