this is like flashbacks right?

Yes, the top parts in sepia are flashbacks, and the bottom parts in colour are happening in the present. :)

I get it, it's like the prologue and the main story at the bottom panel. :)

Thank you! I have to give my partner credit for designing the pudgy general. :D He has some great designs for upcoming characters, too. I'm really glad to be working with him.

I actually thought everything was digital at first. The patches of acrylic adds an interesting and rough texture that works well with the overall environment for the comic. I didn't realize until later that the black and white parts are flashbacks and the last panel for the last pages are what happen right after the conversation.
This page here is my favourite. Good use of dramatic perspectives. It builds up the mood within it.
Great work you two.

Thank you! Ha ha, I don't think that I could do this digitally. I just haven't quite developed the skills in that area yet. Plus, I like having the original copy. :D I'm really glad that you liked it. I have to admit, the flashback sequence was my partner's idea. I'm so glad to be working with him, because he comes up with the best ideas for perspectives and layouts.

(By the way, this is my favourite page so far, too. I just really like the top right panel, ever since I saw the sketch for it. It's just so subtly threatening.)
