Salvation by MoonsongWolf Salvation by MoonsongWolf

Oh, this is really neat :u  I really like the pose and composition here.  The fur texture's very nice, and the folds in the clothing are also well-done :>

I'm so glad that you liked it! And I hope that linking the story will encourage other people to read it. I definitely enjoyed it! It made me wish I was better at drawing people, because I would have tried my hand at drawing Chad, too.

I would love to see that. :)  Chad and Ambrose also appear in The Pearl.  Chad has a bigger part and his backstory is largely laid out.  Ambrose only appears in the last chapter and the epilog.  He gets much more fleshed out in Hunter.

Looks good. But isn't it expensive to use wine for painting???

Thanks! And, nah, wine can be pretty inexpensive to use (the cheap red wines are only about $6-7 a bottle). Artist's paint and inks tend to cost waaaaay more than wine, if you buy the good brands!

But how much wine goes into making one painting/picture?

Red wine is more like a stain than a paint, so a little bit goes a long way, luckily. I usually boil down about 250 mL (about a cup) of wine to about half the original volume, so that I can get a darker tint. I save it in a bottle, and usually it's good for a few dozen paintings or comic pages.

Does she have an extra toe??

Oh, no, five toes! If you are meaning that left foot, I think the pose just makes it look that way. The heel of his foot is actually hidden by his cloak, so that toe that sticks out a little father back is that... I don't know what you would call it, that weird bendy toe that rat's have where we have our big toes? Although I think that I did draw a bit too far back, though.

Yup, that's there "thumb" toe.  Digit 1 on the left foot.
Yeah, I think you did, it looks like it's on her heel. XD
