Star the akita mix nuzzling his friend Jetty, the omega wolf.

Some things are best left uncomplicated.

I had an appointment that I arrived for early today. Luckily, I had some drawing supplies and unfinished sketches to play with while I waited, as well as some new toys to try out (white charcoal). This one is pretty small, only 5" X 5." Perfect for a small project to kill time.

Medium: Coloured pencil, acrylic ink, and charcoal

How did you do for use charcoal? I have one charcoal stick but I really don`t know how use it for doing a great effect with... ^^;

I just LOVE the expressions and all the colors blended in to mix up the more solid, dominant colors. You dont really notice that there are so many mixed in until you give it a closer look; something truly fun to look at! :)

The only thing that I used it for are the soft white highlights. I wanted it to look like the fur was "glowing" a bit from the sunlight. I just applied some to the fur outline and then smeared it with my fingers. Sadly, I'm TERRIBLE at drawing with it! I always manage to smear charcoal. :lol:

Aaah, I never thought to smeared it with my fingers, nice idea. I will be able to make a gift for you and so use my charcoal stick as you say, if I arrive it could be only because of your help! Thank you!

Do you have books for help to draw? Maybe that`s better no? ^^;

Thanks for noticing the colours! I pretty much raided my pencil case for this one. There's red, green, purple, and a ton of browns and greys mixed in there. It was a playful day for art. :lol:
