Sadly, since the contest was only a two-weeker and I've had... quite a busy month, I didn't have the time to do a comepletely new, awesome design for the Okami contest. So I revamped an oldie that's been sitting around for a while. A couple of you folks might recognize this, while hopefully this is a new piece for most of you.

Even Gods need a break between battles and exploring new worlds, and Ammy is no exception. She's taking a bit of a breather in a peaceful grove. Nearby, a tiger and a rat (both critters from the Okami game world) are playing at being gods by drawing red patterns on each other in paint. Nice try, guys. But I don't think that's going to cut it.

The original art piece was done completely in opaque watercolour (gouache), but in order to better fit in with the contest theme, I added some linework in photoshop this time around. I'm not sure that it's an improvement, but at least it better reflects Okami's magical style.
