This is a quick painting that took about an hour. I am almost ashamed to upload it, because it does absolutely NO justice to the source material... but I wanted to make something for it to share with everyone.

I first ran across this film in *swiftwhippet's journal. The story in this spoke to me in such a profound way that even now I have no words to really describe it other than this: In all of us, there is a deep, dark, and very secret place that aches and bleeds when we feel desperate and alone, when circumstances come between us and those we love, when we are powerless to save ourselves and others. This story touched that place (and my eyes are tearing up even now, thinking about it and writing this).

Please watch the short. It's only ten minutes, but easily one of the most amazing ten minutes you will spend watching a piece of animation. Share it with a friend. Share it with a loved one.
