A commission for *TabenClearwater of her gorgeous, sweet characters Taben (the tiger) and Conor (the human).
This is my first time in at least ten years that I've actually gone beyond the "sketch" phase for a human character. I appreciate that the commissioner had faith enough to request one! It was definitely a learning experience, and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to work on this one. The scanner really raped this one, sadly. Some shadows (mostly the inked areas) were darkened, others were lightened. The coloured pencil is smoother in real life. And, sadly, you can't see the gold accents on the rug. Scanner, go die in a fire. Medium: Coloured pencil, acrylic, and acrylic ink (Also, yes, they are a gay couple. If you don't like it, that's good for you. Anyways, excellent colouring and great work on that fur i know exactly how long time that takes and how tiersome the shading of it can be
It's a wonderful picture even though your scanner ate it. I like it a lot.
