Artist's Comments

Galien felt lucky. This was the only spot in many, many lengths of rooms where greenery had once again managed to take root. He released his fishing line into the murky water below, content for once just to be.

My entry for *anthrochallenge. The theme this time around was "camping," and it gave me an excuse to finish this, with a few minor adjustments.

Medium: Gouache, ink, and white charcoal. The original is in black and white. Colours were added in Photoshop (sorry, purists).

It does sort of have a NIMH-ish feel to the rats, I suppose. He has a much cooler cape, though. It has a hood on it. :D
