A man wiser than I once said that love is the difficult realization that something other than oneself is real. It's a troubling emotion; in it are equal parts liberation and despair.

Shae (front) and her lover Aiden, both maned wolves, quietly share a fleeting moment of thoughtless bliss in the pampas grass. However, just like the grey and weeping sky, there are dark and raining shadows lying in wait in her heart, for she loves another wolf as well.

On a technical note, it was great to colour a "cartoon" piece again. It's been a while. Hmmm... grass tool abuse. Also, before anyone asks, no, I do not know what the sparkly things are. Shiny raindrops? Also, if anyone knows a fairly quick but reliable way to make leaves, please let me know. I wanted to put a few in the foreground, but they looked like crap.
