When we finally became self-aware, many of those among us began to lament for our lost innocence. For with the knowledge of self came the realization of our own mortality and the fear of death, the utter finality of our existence. Yet a noble few of us rejoiced, for self-awareness also brought with it a vision that we had never thought possible. It released us from a prison of simple survival, and we became more than just instinctual beasts. Our eyes were open, our dreams unbound.

She thought that her character (being fancifully coloured) would look best on a more abstract background, so... well, I just drew some shapes and coloured them. In retrospect, the background should be much darker for the amount of shading I put into Gutterflower, but... well, let's be honest, no one wants to go back and tinker with an entire background that they've already finished. Besides, it's... fanciful.
