Some scientists believe that no one really does, since the part of your brain that interprets the colour images from your eyes isn't operating while you sleep, and that colour in your dreams is simply added in later once you are awake. But, then again, what about dreams where the colour of things is important? How would you know what colour they were in your dream if you weren't already perceiving them? And why would some people be able to remember both colour and black and white dreams?
For the record, I have never had a dream in black and white. Mine are always in colour, baby.
~Queen-Kitty's "surprise" commission of her cat Sasha, who has the most amazingly beautiful eyes.
Medium: India ink, because my cough medicine reminded me that I haven't used it in a while, white acrylic, and watercolour.
When I was a toddler or so, I had a nightmare that a monster was outside of the house about to come through the door and "get" me. I think I had to have been dreaming in color because I remember being even more scared due to the sky looking like a big, approaching dust-storm (sometimes this can turn the sky reddish).
It becomes less creepy when I add that the monster looked like Barney the Dinosaur with a black cloth draped over him, four shiny black eyes, and a scythe in one hand. That and apparently he didn't know how to press a lever to open the door...
I'm glad you're an artist on here, you promote real inspiration in me! Oh, also, can you do requests? Just wondering if you could do a white tiger in a forest glade. I'm obsessed with white tigers! And all tigers really. Anyway, could you?
