Just a lot of practice and experimentation! My first coloured pencil drawings were really terrible. It took quite a few years to develop a technique that I liked, and I hope to keep improving.

The colours look fantastic, I really like the way you have given shading to the background and how your technique gives such texture to the wings and fur.

Thank you! I'm glad that you liked it. Although I think I owe most of the drawing to =FireMaster13. Her linework is just amazing. I can't draw wings, feathers, and anthro anatomy nearly as well as she does.
